M And T Bank - It is a big inconvenience that I can not get my card back until Monday...

My card was in the atm and it malfunctioned and shut off without dispensing my card back or cash I called customer service a security guard answered the phone and said I cannot retrieve my card until Monday. That is totally unacceptable.

USDA Land Loan went wrong

I went to get a land loan, specifically a USDA land loan, from M&T. As a first-time home buyer, I was very confused about the process and asked a lot of questions.

After a while, the lender seemed incredibly short with me and my questions. Finally, we were waiting for my mortgage confirmation letter so that we could go through the final process, only to be told almost half a week before closing that it had to be canceled because they don't provide land loans anymore. This wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the fact that I am now realizing I was possibly lied to. I was promised a $5000 credit towards my closing costs for completing a home buyer course, and no one else can offer anything similar.

I'm extremely worried for myself and fear a potential lawsuit because I am unable to find a new loan. My realtor said he spoke with the president, but all I received was an apology.

it is by far the worst bank that I have ever had to deal with in my life. If I could rate it zero I would.

Every time you call, the representative contradicts the information provided by the representatives you speak to.

You will never see a customer service team that is as incompetent and untrained as the people from M&T Bank. It's mind-blowing how useless this people are.

Question on holiday hours

I literally had no complaint only a couple questions, but your automated service did not give me an option to speak to anybody other than this pissedconsumer.com. Which I think is stupid.

The ladies that help me was more than helpful. I just had a few questions and a follow up from an incident from1 AM this morning. Everything was resolved in the one phone call with her everything I needed or asked for she answered so now I'm not an unhappy customer. 1 AM this morning.

User's recommendation: Would you call the mainline make sure you listen to all the options and try to pick an option. That computer is not gonna answer your questions that you're going to be connected with a live person.

Horrific customer service!

I received a text about a transaction. It didn't all add up so i replied N for i didn't make it.

Long story but came to my cell. Husband used HIS card. I tried to find out what happened. First call to customer service 1/21/2024 she was so rude.

2nd call the rep was very nice figured out and told me i had to call Fraud dept to remove the block. I was on the phone for over hour waiting. Called the number again today. Requested call back.

This woman continued to talk over me and the rudest nastiest person on the phone. I got upset and asked for her name and she hung up!!! Do not bank with this bank. I worked there over 10 years and understand why customers close their accounts!

As I have learned myself, anytime I feel I am being talked over is usually me trying to explain something I did and it usually doesn’t help the situation. I have learned to let the rep speak and offer their solution.

In your case you should be careful because any issue involving potential fraud can easily be escalated to an account freeze for ten days while they “investigate “. No access to your money and no bills getting paid.

Have notices of CD renewal but no date or CD number bill banking has no history. I don’t know if the bill was paid or not.
